GR Recipe Studio is an Android app for managing Ricoh GR image-control recipes, importing looks from camera photos, browsing community recipes, using Live View on supported cameras, and writing selected recipes back to compatible cameras over Bluetooth.
What the app does
Camera tools
Pair a compatible Ricoh GR camera, review settings, use Live View on supported models, and write selected recipes to camera custom slots using Bluetooth Low Energy.
Photo import
Import supported camera JPEGs and use embedded image-control metadata to create editable local recipes.
Community recipes
Browse published recipes, save editable copies to your private library, publish your own recipes, and manage your public creator profile when you choose to sign in.
Why we request user data
GR Recipe Studio requests only the data needed to provide the feature you choose to use.
- Camera and Bluetooth permissions are used to pair with and write recipe settings to your Ricoh GR camera.
- Location permission is optional and is used only when you enable location sync to camera, so the app can send GPS data over Bluetooth to your paired camera for photo tagging. Location is not sent to our servers.
- Photos and storage access are used only when you import or copy camera photos that you select or configure for photo sync.
- Community sign-in uses Google or email authentication through Supabase so you can publish recipes, save community recipes, like recipes, and manage your creator profile.
- Crash reporting and basic diagnostics help us find app stability issues. Community account and profile data are handled as described in the privacy policy.
Most recipe management is local-first. Private local recipes remain on your device unless you explicitly publish a recipe to Community.
Public access
This homepage, privacy policy, terms, and account-deletion instructions are visible without signing in. Shared recipe and sign-in links may redirect into the Android app when opened from a supported device.
