Privacy Policy

GR Recipe Studio is built around a local recipe library, optional community features, and optional camera workflows. This policy explains what is collected when you use those features.

Data we collect

Supabase auth email

When you sign in to Community features, Supabase stores your email address and authentication identifiers so you can access your account.

Public creator profile

If you create a public profile, we store the display name, Instagram handle, bio, avatar URL, and profile visibility you choose.

Published recipes

Recipes you publish to the community are stored with their recipe settings, title, description, tags, author details, cover image URL, save count, like count, and moderation status.

Photos

Photos you upload for public avatars or published recipe covers are stored as public community assets. Photos imported locally from your device or camera stay on your device unless you choose to publish or upload them.

Like and save signals

When signed in, community recipe likes and saves are stored with your account ID so the app can show your saved and liked state and update community counts.

Reports, blocks, and rules acceptance

When you report community content, block a creator, or accept the Community rules before publishing, we store the account IDs and related moderation records needed to review reports, hide blocked creators, and enforce the rules.

Firebase Crashlytics crash data

Crashlytics may collect crash reports, stack traces, device and app version information, logs, and non-fatal error reports to help diagnose app failures.

Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics may collect app usage events, screen engagement, device information, app version, Advertising ID or other device identifiers, and approximate diagnostic signals to understand reliability, retention, and feature usage. GR Recipe Studio does not show ads and does not use these identifiers for ad targeting.

Location data

Collected only when you choose a location sync mode in Camera settings. Used solely to push GPS coordinates to your paired Ricoh camera over Bluetooth Low Energy.

Location data

Location data is collected only when you choose While app open or Always for location sync in Camera settings. New installs and new camera scopes default to Off.

Location data is used solely to push GPS coordinates to your paired Ricoh camera over Bluetooth Low Energy so photos can receive GPS tags. It is never sent to any server controlled by GR Recipe Studio or third parties. It is not retained on our infrastructure; we have none for this feature. It is stored only briefly in app memory to compose the BLE write packet, then discarded. You can disable location sync at any time in Camera settings.

Third parties

GR Recipe Studio uses Supabase for community authentication, public profiles, published recipe data, like/save data, and public storage uploads.

GR Recipe Studio uses Google Firebase for Crashlytics crash reporting, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. Firebase Analytics may process Advertising ID or other device identifiers for analytics and reporting. We use this to understand app quality and feature adoption, not to show ads or target advertising.

Retention

Supabase account data remains while your community account exists. You can request account deletion from inside the app.
Published recipes, public profile data, likes, saves, blocks, policy acceptance records, reports, and uploaded public assets remain until you delete your account, unpublish content where available, or ask us to remove it.
When your community account is deleted, the Android client does not delete local Room recipes or imported photos, and the backend deletion path removes your published community content, profile, likes, saves, reports, blocks, policy acceptance records, and owned community storage objects.
On-device recipes, imported photos, camera settings, and local working copies stay on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
Android backup may restore non-sensitive app configuration such as display and haptic preferences. Private recipes, local working copies, imported or copied photos, account tokens, profile details, camera pairings, and device-local IDs are excluded from Android Auto Backup.
Firebase crash and analytics data is retained according to the Firebase project retention settings and is used for diagnostics and product quality.

Your choices

You can use the local recipe library without signing in.
You can choose what profile details and recipes to publish.
You can report recipes or profiles and block creators from Community surfaces. Blocked creators can be unblocked in App Settings.
You can request community account deletion from App Settings, reached from the Profile screen in the app.
You can reset or delete your device Advertising ID in Android system settings. Analytics collection is used only for app quality, retention, and feature-usage reporting.
